Activities
My research focuses on identifying correlates of the magnitude and duration of immunological memory, with particular attention to inter-individual differences. We combine mouse experiments, human clinical data analysis, and computational modeling. My group developed prototype vaccines displaying a B cell epitope on multimeric proteins or phage capsids, and studied how dosing protocols affect memory formation. We currently model responses to COVID-19 infection and vaccination. In collaboration with physicist Mario Nicodemi, I also developed statistical mechanics models of genome architecture and gene regulation, validated by simulations and experimental data.
