Activities

We are interested in the anti-inflammatory effects of physical stimuli, which include the study of mechano-, magneto-, opto- and electro- transduction and their interaction with the immune system and mostly with the innate immune response/inflammation. We work with computational (SBML pathways reconstruction, network biology analyses, machine learning) and experimental approaches (3D bioconstructs, animal models, pilot clinical trials) where we mostly analyze omics include transcriptomics and methylomics including methylage. For this reason the group is highly interdisciplinary involving (neuro)physiologists, computer scientists, engineers, mathematicians but also sociologists and medical anthropologists.
